Desaru 1 day trip

Hi everyone!

YEC is having a 1 day trip to Desaru! It is a great opportunity for you to get close to nature and escape from the stressful city life. This is also an excellent excursion for families with children where they can bond while learning about farm animals and plants. Details can be found in the brochures above. Registration closes at the end of November, so hurry because vacancies are filling up fast!

Exams are over and the holidays are here! Why not join us for a fun and educational time at our Trail of Discovery? Kids and Adults alike will both benefit greatly from this tour. We will be visiting Heritage Gallery, Peranakan Museum and NEWater Visitor Centre!

Fright Night

That's right, YEC is celebrating Halloween this coming Friday and we want you to join us. Let's Trick-or-Treat! Costumes are encouraged, but if you don't dress up, fret not! We have face painter making you as scary as possible :D

Choa Chu Kang CC's Open House!

CCK CC open house!

Date: 17th August 2008
Time: 9am-12:30pm
Venue: CCK CC
Guest of honor:Mr Gan Kim Yong(Acting Minister for Manpower,Senior Minister of State and MP for CCK constituency)

Highlights:

1) Various exhibition booths set up by the clubs of the CC such as Chinese Calligraphy, Netball  as well as mooncake making demonstrations. YEC will be setting up a board games booth at the RYC on the 2nd floor. This is in collaboration with our new Board Games Interest Group. Visitors will be able to immerse themselves in a vast variety of board games available. Come and support us!

2) Exciting performances by the PJC symphonic band, PJC choir, guzheng, Chinese symphonic band and many more!!

3) Lucky draws! The first prize is a 32-inch plasma TV! Come participate and who knows, you could be the lucky grand winner!

It is definitely a fun-filled day not to be missed! Mark the date down on your calendar and join us at the open house on Sunday! See you there! =D

Upcoming events for May and June

Hello!How's everyone doing? :)

We have all been very busy sourcing for vendors and tying up some loose ends for the exciting events coming up! Here's a glimpse at what will be happening in May and June:

16th May (Friday):

Movie screening (Bee Movie)
Time: 8pm
Venue: CCK CC
Details: Our very first movie screening happening at the CC! Admission is free! Popcorn,peanuts and drinks will be sold outside the hall on the day itself. This is a free seating event. Bring along your own mats and chairs-whatever it takes to for you to get comfy and enjoy the show! :D

24th May (Saturday):

Policy Forum at Bukit Batok CSC (building opposite Westmall)
Topic: "Is gambling an addiction or a healthy sport?"
Panelists: CRA (Casino Regulating Authority)
Those who are interested to attend can leave a note on the tagboard and we will get back to you as soon as we can :)

8th June (Sunday):

Singapore Games Convention
Time: 9am-8pm
Venue: CCK CC event hall
Details: There will be a one hour lunch break in between. The games will end at 6pm and the prize presentation will commence at 7pm. More details will be released soon.

Upcoming events for the month of April and May

Upcoming events :

1. Netball training at CCK CC. 

Training dates will be released every Sunday morning and Wednesday evening. Tentatively, training will commence from 6th April. All girls, regardless of age and race are more than welcomed to join our netball team!

2.Inline skating course for beginners.

Whether you have a budding interest or think inline skating is cool with a capital C, we welcome you! Meet more friends who share your interest! Enrollment dates will be confirmed again.

3. Cycling event, starting from CCK CC to Brickland Road. 

The event will be held on 8th June. Registration can be done at the CC. It is strongly recommended to bring your own bicycle along :)

4. Monthly movie screenings. 

No plans for Friday night? Fret not! CCK CC will be holding movie screenings every third Friday of the month. Bring along your friends and family and have a ball of a time together! Popcorn and chips will also be sold outside the screening hall. This event will commence in April.

5.Team bonding session for members of CCK YEC.

All these planning is tiring work.This session will help us unwind and get to know each other better.Hopefully, everyone of us will be able to make it on 17th May!
